Growlights

In 2015 Bikkel got involved in experimental growlights. A novel growlight, together with a growers association in Europe, was developed.

One obstacle to the use of grow lights on a big scale, is the ability to power them via single phase 220V power. Bikkel introduced the first three phase powered growlight in the world. This breakthrough made the ability to connect multiple lights seamlessly. This allows the growers to daisy-chain many lights in a string reducing installation cost dramatically. It also has a simple 40mm U-channel easy clip on mount, so that the lights can be positioned wherever the grower wants them to be.

The brightness of LED’s has increased to a point where the light intensity of growlights is harmful to the human eye. With this in mind, the Bikkel growlight has a dual feature, being a harvesting mode and grow mode built in one. In human mode, the growlights emit a light, safe for humans to work under, with a high quality CRI. complying with European regulations. This takes away the need to add additional lighting for harvesting. Switching between grow and harvesting mode, is done remotely.

The growlight incorporates a 3 phase direct drive power supply, reducing the component count and adding longetivity to the life span of the product.
