Gerardus Geertruud (Ruud) de Vaal was trained in Power Electronics in the Netherlands and has, in his more than 25 years of experience in the industry, pioneered several novel electronic devices and has contributed greatly to the production of efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly products.
In 1998, he filed his first patent, which is still being used in the Bikkel dimmer. This is a testament to his ability to think futuristically about the needs and demands of society.
His award-winning, innovative approach to research and development has resulted in the multi-platform, worldwide recognition of his work.
Ruud currently resides in Beesd, Netherlands.

Stephen Schoeman has been involved in the electronics industry for over 35 years, and in the distribution industry in his role as Sales, Marketing and Branch Management.
You may know him for his work as Branch Manager at Arrow Altech Distribution, but can also be credited with contributions to training, cost reductions through improvements to efficiencies in processes and control.
Stephen is also passionate about the environment (changed the Bikkel packaging from plastic to biodegradable cardboard boxes), keeping and retaining local manufacture and employment. Quality is always foremost and will not be compromised
Stephen has been honoured by his passion and dedication to sales and qualified with a First Class achiever in The Stratham Bryce International Solutions Selling School 101 and Complex Solutions Sales Selling School 201. He is also a qualified Chartered Secretary (CIS) and Business Administrator (IAC) and currently resides in Harfield Village in Cape Town.
